Abstract/Overview
Test planning is one of the biggest headaches IT staff are subjected to. They often feel overwhelmed by the uncertainty of requirements quality, code quality and the expectations of stakeholders. Compound this with the fact that very few testers have been formally trained to estimate work effort, time or budget, and we have a sure formula for failure.
In this course, uncertainty is replaced with confidence as the student practises a variety of test estimating techniques. The class is provided with a realistic case study with real requirements and test plans. From these inputs, they use the techniques they've learned to generate estimates of testing effort.
Audience - Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for testers, test managers and project managers who need to create accurate and flexible estimates of software testing effort.
Prerequisite
Participants should have a working knowledge of testing techniques and practices. It is handy to have 1 or 2 years experience in test planning and estimating.
