Abstract/Overview

This hands-on course provides the basic knowledge on how to access the IBM MVS development environment and to use the development tool available in TSO to test business applications operating in batch mode. The course focuses on providing the fundamentals of the MVS Job Control Language such that existing jobs can be modified, submitted, and results verified in order to test changes made to applications. Hands-on exercises are provided to ensure an effective learning experience.

Audience - Who Should Attend?

This entry-level course is intended for business analysts who have limited knowledge on mainframe environments and want to learn how to test business applications in a batch environment.

Prerequisite

Students are assumed to have a working knowledge of TSO/ISPF (Course Code MF10) and possess a basic understanding of computer software and programming logic.
