Abstract/Overview

Microsoft Excel 2007 is the latest version of the powerful spreadsheet software that helps you organize information and make quick and accurate numerical calculations.
This module is the third part of a three-day series that covers all the capabilities of Excel 2007 in detail, from the most basic worksheet operations, to advanced applications like what-if analysis and macro writing.
In this final module, you master Excel 2007’s most advanced features, including: using macros to automate many worksheet tasks; working with graphics and other objects, such as WordArt and SmartArt and customizing the Excel environment.

Audience - Who Should Attend?

This module is for anyone who is familiar with Excel 2007, and wants to gain mastery over its advanced object-handling, automation and customization features.

Prerequisite

You are an experienced Excel 2003 user who already uses many built-in functions to format and control data tables and charts. It is beneficial to have taken the Intermediate module of this course or to have equivalent experience.

Objective

When you complete this course, you will be able to:
·         Create, edit and execute macros to automate worksheet tasks
·         Insert and format clipart, shapes, graphics and other objects in your worksheets
·         Use layers to control the behaviour and appearance of embedded objects
·         Customize elements of the Excel workspace, like the Quick Access toolbar, AutoCorrect entries, custom number formats and other options
·         Save workbooks in portable formats, such as XML and XPS
·         Digitally sign your work and publish it securely to a shared document workspace
