Abstract/Overview
Microsoft Excel 2007 is the latest version of the powerful spreadsheet software that helps you organize information and make quick and accurate numerical calculations.
This module is the second part of a three-day series that covers all of Excel 2007’s capabilities in detail, from the most basic worksheet operations, to advanced applications like what-if analysis and macro writing.
In this second module, you master Excel’s most advanced features, including: using VBA macros to automate many worksheet tasks; linking and embedding worksheets in Word; creating web pages and queries from workbooks; how to use sophisticated data analysis techniques and how to customize Excel to support your way of working, to add security and much more.
Audience - Who Should Attend?
This module is for anyone who already uses the basics of Excel 2007, and wants to take their understanding and control of this powerful tool to the next level.
Prerequisite
You should have some experience with Excel 2007. It is beneficial to have taken the Beginnings module of this course or have equivalent experience.
Objective
When you complete this course, you will be able to:
· Create and edit several types of professionally formatted and annotated charts from your worksheet data
· Manage workbooks containing multiple worksheets, adding, deleting, moving and renaming them as needed; create worksheet templates
· Format workbooks with headers and footers; hide rows and columns; split and freeze panes of information; adjust page breaks and margins for reliable printing
· Use many more of Excel’s built-in functions and formulas; trace function execution and debug common problems
· Harness Excel’s powerful database features by using its range naming features and database functions
· Create tables, and work with table data using pivot tables, styles and Data Forms
· Analyze and organize data with Scenarios, Goal Seek, the Solver and data consolidation
· Create web pages of hyperlinked data from external data sources like Access
