Abstract/Overview
Microsoft Word is a powerful word processing program that gives users the tools to create a variety of professional documents. With automatic spelling and grammar checking, charts, tables, themes, styles, formatting control and more, it’s no wonder Microsoft’s Word has become the most widely used word processor available. With many new features and a whole new look and feel, Word 2007 brings yet more power and ease-of-use to your desktop.
This course completes your mastery of Word 2007, showing you how to customize the Word environment and workflow to suit you, including recording and editing macros; control document appearance using Styles, Templates and Building Blocks; add user-friendly Forms to your documents; turn documents into compelling hyperlinked web pages; and share data between Word and other Office applications like Excel and PowerPoint.
Audience - Who Should Attend?
This course is suitable for those who already use Word 2007 to create and edit documents, and who are familiar with the Word 2007 interface.
Prerequisite
Comfort with desktop productivity tools like Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Expertise is not required in any of these, but some experience with them is helpful.
Objective
When you finish this module, you will be able to:
· Collaborate with other applications such as Excel and PowerPoint, converting data from one application to another and inserting spreadsheets and presentation objects into your Word documents
· Create document templates and styles, and customize existing templates
· Use the Building Blocks feature to save and insert commonly-used content such as logos, addresses, table designs etc.
· Build documents containing forms that can be filled out in Word, with many different types of content and controls, including built-in help
· Create and modify hyperlinked Web Pages, and build in support for features such as blogging.
· Modify the Word 2007 environment by customizing toolbars and other options
· Use additional advanced features that let you add digital signatures; create, edit and run macros; save documents in portable formats like XML and XPS; troubleshoot problems using the Office 2007 Diagnostics
